       Graham Priest, a world-renowned logician and philosopher, is Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at The Graduate Center, City University of New York, Boyce Gibson Professor Emeritus at the University of Melbourne, and International Research Fellow at the Ruhr University of Bochum. He is known for his work on non-classical logic, metaphysics, the history of philosophy, and Buddhist philosophy.  He has published over 300 articles—in nearly every major philosophy and logic journal—and eight books—mostly with Oxford University Press.

       格雷厄姆·普里斯特(Graham Priest),世界著名逻辑学家和哲学家,是纽约城市大学研究生院的杰出哲学教授、墨尔本大学的博伊斯·吉布森荣誉教授,以及德国波鸿鲁尔大学的国际研究员。他在非经典逻辑、形而上学、哲学史以及佛教哲学方面的工作广为人知。他已在几乎所有主要的哲学和逻辑学期刊上发表了超过300篇文章,并出版了八本书——大多由牛津大学出版社出版。


内容简介 

       Beyond everything is nothing(ness). But nothing appears to be a paradoxical object, both something and nothing. In this talk I will look at the paradox of nothing more closely, defining nothing in mereological terms, and proving that it is a dialetheic object. The Inclosure Scheme is a scheme into which all the standard paradoxes of self-reference fit. The paradox of nothing is not a paradox of self-reference, but I will also show that it fits the Inclosure Schema, and so has the same structure. As we will see, the paradox of nothing is a paradox at the limit of everything.

       超越一切即无。然而“无”似乎是个悖论性的对象——既是某物,又是虚无。本次演讲中将细致审视“无”的悖论:用分体论术语定义“无”,并证明它是一个辩证矛盾的对象。“包含模式”能容纳所有经典的自指悖论。虽然“无”之悖论并非自指悖论,但我将表明它同样符合包含模式,因而具有相同的结构。 “无”的悖论,实乃存在边界上的悖论。
